About Confined Space Safety e-learn course

This course we will look at the basic principal of Confined Space Entry. The hazards it present in the workplace and the main measures that should be taken to minimize those hazards and the considered measures for the prevention at Confined Space and for the safe evacuation of premises.

This course was developed using the OSHA Manual 29 CFR Confined Space entry Requirements and regulation and CONFINED SPACES REGULATIONS 1997 (UK) to protecting the people in Confined Space. In addition to the topics outlined below, this course also covers the proper use of, and various types of Confined Space related equipment, proper storage of flammables, combustibles and liquefied petroleum gases.

Learning Outcome

At the end of this course, participants should be able to demonstrate understanding of the content through application of knowledge to familiar and unfamiliar situations, In particular they should be able to:

• Describe the legal standards & regulations on confined space;
• Describe the principles of confined space initiation, classification;
• Outline the principles of confined space assessment;
• Describe the basic principles of confined space risk prevention;
• Identify the hazards at workplace and appropriate equipment needed;
• Outline the factors which should be considered when implementing a successful evacuation of workplace in the event of an emergency.
